Sandals South Coast Dutch Village Rooms

Set in a pristine nature reserve in Whitehouse, Jamaica, Sandals South Coast is one of the most popular Sandals resorts for honeymoons because of its seclusion and romantic atmosphere.

Rooms at this resort are divided into three “villages” which used to be called Italian, French, and Dutch but were recently changed to Starlight, Silver Sun, and Longbeach during some renovations.

In this article, we’ll tell you all about what used to be Sandals South Coast Dutch Village rooms, but are now the rooms in the Starlight area.

Sandals South Coast Dutch Village Rooms

If you look at the Sandals South Coast map for Dutch Village rooms, you won’t find them since the area is now called Starlight. These rooms are towards the middle of the resort between the former French villa, now called Longbeach, and the Starlight area, formerly the Italian village.

The Dutch Village was completely renovated just a few years ago, adding larger balconies to the rooms with Tranquility soaking tubs.

The rooms have a sleek and modern design, and all come with a private furnished balcony or patio and ocean view. Club suites have room service from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and butler suites have 24-hour room service.

What are the different levels of Sandals rooms?

There are three levels of Sandals rooms: luxury, club, and butler. Luxury rooms are the least expensive rooms at Sandals, but they are still very nice and come with all the inclusions such as unlimited meals and snacks at all restaurants, unlimited nonalcoholic and premium alcoholic beverages, an in-room minibar that’s refreshed daily, Robert Mondavi wines, a wide range of water and land activities (including scuba diving, snorkeling, tennis, fitness centers, and golf where available), nightly entertainment, WiFi, airport transfers, and all tips and taxes. The only inclusion not available in a Sandals luxury room is room service.

Club level rooms at Sandals are the next step up and come with access to a Club concierge and private lounge, room service between 7a.m. and 10p.m., and a fully stocked bar instead of a minibar. While they cost more than luxury rooms, the difference is usually not much.

Butler level rooms at Sandals are the nicest and largest rooms available, and are often unique offerings like overwater bungalows, Rondoval suites, and SkyPool suites, and Penthouse suites. These rooms come with the services of a personal butler, 24-hour room service, a full bar with sparkling wine and premium liquor, and private airport transfers (sometimes in luxury vehicles).

While most Sandals resorts have all three levels, Sandals Royal Plantation in Jamaica only has butler suites.

Can more than 2 people stay in a Sandals room?

No, Sandals rooms are designed for 2 people only—and more specifically, couples, as there is generally only one bed in the room. There are a few options for larger groups, such as the private villa at Sandals Royal Plantation, which has 3 bedrooms, but there aren’t any rooms at Sandals with two or more beds in them.
