And the new Sandals Saint Vincent is an incredible option that we highly recommend.

The top-rated Sandals resorts are Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals Montego Bay, and Sandals South Coast in Jamaica; Sandals Grenada; and Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia.
Couples looking for privacy enjoy Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Negril, and Sandals South Coast in Jamaica as well as Sandals Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia, as these are more peaceful and intimate resorts.
Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas is also a quiet and romantic resort, and it is the Sandals that is closest to the U.S. if you want to get your honeymoon started quickly.

Sandals Dunn’s River, Ocho Rios, Jamaica
This stunning new Sandals really raises the bar in every way. It features luxurious new suites like the SkyPool Suites with elevated infinity-edge pools plus awesome views, and the private Coyaba Sky Rondovals with plunge pools and swim-up access to a river pool plus a furnished rooftop deck.
On our visit we were blown away by the food and all the new restaurant concepts, as well as the unique cocktails and fun bars. The pools and the spa were fabulous as well. Sandals Dunn’s River is now our favorite Sandals in Jamaica and one of our top choices overall.
Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
The most recently opened Sandals resort, this is also now one of our absolute favorites. The setting on St. Vincent is pristine and secluded, the food is outstanding, and the service is warm and impeccable.
Sandals Saint Vincent features swim-up suites, beachfront villas with private pools, and incredible two-story overwater villas for the ultimate luxurious honeymoon suite. Something to note is that since St. Vincent isn’t as well-known a tourist destination, it can be harder to find flights here.
Sandals Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios, Jamaica
This exclusive resort has just 74 suites, all of which are oceanfront and come with 24-hour butler service. Sandals Royal Plantation has an elegant feel, a champagne and caviar bar, and a gorgeous and peaceful beach with beach service. We found it to be super relaxing and nice.
It’s also perfect for couples who love to golf, as you get free green fees and transfers to a nearby championship course. In addition, you get access to all the amenities and activities at Sandals Ochi.
Sandals Grenada
Our favorite Sandals resort before Dunn’s River and St. Vincent opened, Sandals Grenada is still a phenomenal choice. It features one of the best beaches of all the resorts, with breathtakingly white sand and vivid turquoise water. It’s perfect for couples who like to explore, as Grenada is a fascinating island full of scenic areas and fun activities.
The resort is close to the airport, the food is excellent, and all of the rooms and suites are gorgeous. Our favorites are the South Seas One Bedroom Butler Villas with private infinity pools, as well as the SkyPool Suites with elevated private infinity pools.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian, St. Lucia
This is another of the best Sandals resorts for couples who like to be active, as St. Lucia is a stunningly beautiful island with all sorts of fun things to do. This resort is set on a fantastic beach with calm water that’s perfect for watersports, and it’s close to a lovely national park for hiking. Plus you get free green fees and transfers to a nearby golf course.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian also features the amazing overwater bungalows, which are some of the most romantic and private honeymoon suites you can find. These have huge decks with hammocks and access to the water, as well as a glass floor insert so you can watch marine life. They also come with 24-hour butler service.
Sandals Halcyon Beach, St. Lucia
Another of the three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia, Halcyon Beach is especially popular for honeymoons because it’s smaller and more peaceful, but you still have access to everything at Sandals Grande St. Lucian as well as Sandals Regency La Toc via a free shuttle.
Sandals Halcyon Beach has lush landscaping, the Caribbean’s longest lagoon pool, and newly renovated swim-up suites, as well as Rondoval Butler Villas with private pools and Beachfront Walkout Butler Suites with private pools.
Sandals Negril, Jamaica
This was our favorite Sandals in Jamaica before Dunn’s River opened. We love the prime location on a stunning stretch of the world-famous Seven Mile Beach, amazing sunset views, and laidback vibe. You can also snorkel right off the beach.
Almost all rooms have ocean views at Sandals Negril, including beachfront swim-up suites with butler service. We also loved the Caribbean Beachfront Walkout Club Room, which is just steps from the sand and has an oversized soaking tub on the terrace. On our most recent visit we got to stay in a brand-new SkyPool Butler Suite, which had an incredible elevated private infinity pool.
Sandals South Coast, Whitehouse, Jamaica
This Sandals has been named the Caribbean’s Leading Honeymoon Resort due to its secluded location in a nature preserve and romantic overwater bungalows. It’s also one of the more affordable Sandals locations. We think Sandals South Coast has the best beach of all the Jamaica locations, with two miles of pristine and soft white sand.
Rooms and suites were recently renovated and include swim-up suites and Rondoval suites with private plunge pools. We stayed in a Longbeach Beachfront Butler Suite with an oversized soaking tub on the balcony and loved it. Of course, the most popular honeymoon suites here are the gorgeous overwater bungalows, which are set around a heart-shaped walkway.
Sandals Emerald Bay, Bahamas
This tranquil oasis is located on 500 unspoiled acres in Great Exuma, Bahamas, and features the best beach of all the Sandals resorts in our opinion: a mile-long stretch of powder-soft white sand along calm and clear turquoise water, perfect for watersports.
Sandals Emerald Bay has been criticized by some guests for showing some wear and tear, but we enjoyed our time there. This is another top choice for honeymooners who love to golf, as you get free green fees at the incredible onsite golf course. It also has one of our favorite excursions—swimming with pigs!
Best Sandals for a Honeymoon on a Budget
Some Sandals resorts offer more affordable rates than others. These include Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, which is the cheapest Sandals resort; Sandals South Coast and Sandals Negril in Jamaica; Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia; and Sandals Grande Antigua.
If you want a butler suite for your honeymoon, you’ll find the lowest rates at Sandals Ochi and Sandals Royal Plantation.
