Sandals Grande Antigua and Sandals Grenada are two of the 17 adults-only all-inclusive Sandals resorts in the Caribbean. Our personal preference is for Sandals Grenada, as we think it’s one of the best Sandals resorts overall, but we also enjoyed Sandals Antigua. This review will compare the two to help you choose the best one for you.

About Sandals Grande Antigua

Sandals Grande Antigua is located on the best beach on the island, among lushly landscaped gardens. Voted the “World’s Most Romantic Resort,” it has 6 pools, 6 whirlpools, 7 bars, and 11 restaurants. It is in St. John’s, 15 minutes from VC Bird International Airport.

Sandals Antigua vs. Grenada: Beach

Sandals Antigua is located on Dickenson Bay, on what is considered the best beach on the island. It’s a long, 2-mile stretch of white sand and calm turquoise water, but it is a public beach. This means that there are vendors on it.

At Sandals Grenada, exclusive Pink Gin Beach is a stretch of soft white sand along calm, clear water. One area is enclosed by rocks to form a sort of natural swimming pool, and it’s also fun for snorkeling. There are plenty of loungers and places to relax.

Sandals Antigua vs. Grenada Rooms and Suites

Sandals Grenada is a clear winner here. It features two of Sandals’ most luxurious and unique accommodations: the Skypool suites and the Rondoval suites, and even entry level rooms have touches like outdoor soaking tubs and ocean views. There are poolside, walkout, oceanview, and garden view rooms, as well as beachfront walkout, penthouse, and swim-up suites. The nicest options are one-bedroom butler villas with infinity pools, Skypool suites with elevated infinity pools, and Rondoval suites with private pool sanctuaries.
