Sandals Grande St. Lucian
Set on a beautiful beach with calm water near the island’s best national park, Pigeon Island, Sandals Grande St. Lucian offers a huge range of watersports including jet skiing. It also has incredible overwater bungalows, which are some of the most luxurious suites that Sandals offers.
In addition to the most dining options of all the resorts (with 12 restaurants), Grande St. Lucian has 5 pools and 4 whirlpools, including the huge waterfront Sunset Pool and the quiet, lagoon-style Lovers Pool. There are 7 bars including swim-up bars.
If you like to golf, you might choose this location because it is the closest to the 18-hole championship course, where you get free green fees.
Sandals Grande Saint Lucian is the best Sandals in Saint Lucia if you are looking for…
- A calm beach, perfect for snorkeling.
- Watersports like kayaking or water skiing.
- A lively social pool and beach area.
Or, if you
- Do not want the hills at Sandals Regency La Toc.
- Do not want a super quiet resort like Sandals Halcyon.
Sandals Halcyon Beach
Many people think Sandals Halcyon Beach is the best Sandals resort in St. Lucia for honeymoons, due to its smaller size and peaceful vibe. It also has some nice updated suites, including beachfront suites with private pools and the unique Rondoval suites.

The beach here can be a little bit murky so it’s not necessarily the best for someone looking to spend all their time in the water. However, you can enjoy the great pools here, including the Caribbean’s longest.
We loved the main pool which is relatively small but made for a fun and friendly environment for us.
Halcyon Beach also has really lovely landscaping. There are 6 restaurants including an overwater restaurant, and 7 bars including swim-up bars.
We really enjoyed the lunch buffet which changed every day and the Italian restaurant.
Sandals Halcyon is the best if you are looking for…
- Quiet and seclusion
- A resort close to the other resorts, making it easy to visit.
Sandals Regency La Toc
Our pick for best Sandals in Saint Lucia, Regency La Toc has a spectacular setting on a hillside in the capital town of Castries. Part of the resort is on the bluffs area, and part is down by the beach. There’s a hill between them but shuttle service is available if you don’t want to walk.

Some of the best suites here are the Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Villas, which have incredible 180-degree views, retractable glass walls, private pools, and butler service.
We loved the pools here and also saw some amazing sunsets. The beach is a half-mile long and beautiful, and we actually liked that the water is rougher here. However, sometimes that means it’s not safe for watersports, so you have to take the shuttle to Grand St. Lucian if you want to do that. There’s a 9-hole golf course onsite, but it’s currently closed.
We would swim out based where the waves crash and enjoy the refreshing waters for hours if we could.
There are 9 restaurants (we really enjoyed the food) and 8 bars including swim-up bars. This is the Sandals resort that is closest to the Pitons, if you’re interested in exploring that area (although all the resorts offer Piton excursions). It’s also the most affordable of the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia.
Choose Sandals Regency La Toc if you:
- Like hilltop views
- Want a more affordable rate
- Enjoy a beach with waves
- Want to be close to the Pitons
- Don’t mind walking
