Sandals Regency La Toc Review: We Loved It!
Nestled on a hillside along a scenic crescent-shaped beach, Sandals Regency La Toc is our favorite of the three Sandals resorts in stunning St. Lucia.
This is the most affordable Sandals in St. Lucia, and you get enhanced value because complimentary transportation is included to the other two Sandals locations for a total of 27 restaurants, 21 bars, and 3 beaches. You also get free green fees at an 18-hole championship golf course.
Getting to Sandals Regency La Toc
Sandals Regency La Toc is located about 90 minutes from the airport, and the roads are winding. Because we’re prone to motion sickness, we opted for alternative transportation and took the ferry. This turned out to be a wonderful way to start our vacation as we got to see the island and even some dolphins while we enjoyed snacks and drinks.
The ferry ride took about 90 minutes, and it was a 10-minute car ride from the dock to the resort.
Another option is to take a helicopter, which is faster but also lets you see the island.
If you prefer to use the Sandals car transfer service, it is included in your rate.

Rooms and Suites
This resort has recently added some new rooms: Rondoval Butler Villas, Rondoval Butler Sky Villas, and Oceanfront Two-Story One Bedroom Butler Villas.
The Rondoval Butler Villas are unique circular suites have secluded settings, private pools, and outdoor soaking tubs. The Rondoval Butler Sky Villas add a private rooftop terrace with seating and a soaking tub.
The Oceanfront Two-Story One Bedroom Butler Villas are set on the bluff and feature private pools.
All of these come with 24-hour in-room dining and personal butler service.
We were able to stay in a butler suite when we visited Sandals Regency La Toc, and it was amazing. Called the Sunset Bluff Oceanview One Bedroom Butler Suite, it was perched on the hillside for incredible ocean and sunset views, and had an oversized soaking tub on the balcony. It also came with personal butler service and 24-hour in-room dining.
For even more luxury, you could stay in the Sunset Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Villa, which has a 3-story private deck, retractable glass walls, private zero-entry plunge pool, private whirlpool, and a spacious interior with separate living room and bedroom.
We also recommend the Oceanfront Two-Story One-Bedroom Butler Villa Suites with Tranquility Soaking Tubs. Centrally located, they offer plenty of privacy and space and are near the beach.
The most affordable rooms at Sandals Regency La Toc are the Honeymoon Luxury rooms. They are newly renovated and located in the center of the resort near the pool and beach. They come with a tropical garden view but do not have a balcony you can sit on, or come with room service.
There are also oceanview, oceanfront, poolside, and beachfront walkout rooms, as well as honeymoon hideaway suites with private pool sanctuaries.
Food and Drink at Sandals Regency La Toc
There are 10 restaurants and 8 bars at Sandals Regency La Toc. We loved the food here and found the service to be really good as well.
Our favorite was the French fine dining restaurant, La Toc. We had an amazing braised lamb shank there. We also liked the local Caribbean dishes at Pitons, the Japanese teppanyaki at Kimono’s, the sushi at Soy, the pizza at Bella Napoli, the variety at the Pavillion, the wings at the pub, and the Mediterranean food and beachfront setting at Neptune’s.
The bars include two swim-up bars, a piano bar, and a British pub.

Beach and Pools
The beach at Sandals Regency La Toc is beautiful, with a half mile of soft sand in a crescent shape and clear turquoise water. There are plenty of chairs and very attentive beach service for food and drink.
There are a lot of red and yellow flag days here, however, so it can be too rough for swimming and watersports. When that happens you can take the free shuttle to Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
There are 3 pools and 4 whirlpools here. The main pool features music and activities during the day, and has a swim-up bar. We loved the Sunset Bluff pool, which is higher up and has wonderful views and a swim-up bar.
For total peace, you can go to the Quiet Pool.
Activities and Entertainment
Activities at Sandals Regency la Toc include a full range on nonmotorized watersports, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, paddleboarding, kayaking, and Hobie Cat sailing. As we noted above, when the water is too rough here for these, you can go to Sandals Grande St. Lucian.
We highly recommend St. Lucia if you like to scuba dive or snorkel, as there is a ton to see here. I went on a dive trip around the base of the Pitons, which was amazing.
Land activities include day and night tennis, beach volleyball, shuffleboard, table tennis, and pool. You can also enjoy free green fees and transportation to an 18-hole championship golf course.
Nightly entertainment includes theme parties, dancing, and live music.
Onsite amenities include a full fitness center, which is included, and a luxurious spa, which is not. You can also book area excursions, and we definitely recommend doing this. There is so much to see in St. Lucia.
We took a speed boat tour that took us to see the Pitons and a waterfall and bathe in volcanic mud pits.

Does Sandals Regency La Toc have a beach?
Yes, Sandals Regency La Toc has a beautiful half-mile-long, crescent-shaped beach.
How far is Regency La Toc from the airport?
Sandals Regency La Toc is 90 minutes from the airport via the complimentary transportation.
What is the best Sandals resort to stay at in St. Lucia?
The answer to this question depends on what you’re looking for. All three resorts are wonderful and have unique things to offer. Our favorite was Regency La Toc, but if you want to be able to do watersports every day, you might prefer Sandals Grande St. Lucian since the water is calmer there. And Sandals Halcyon Beach is smaller and quieter, so it is often more popular for honeymoons.
But no matter which one you choose, you can’t go wrong, and you’ll have access to all three.
