We’ve been to all of them, so we have our opinions. Our recommendations for the best Sandals for foodies are below. Let us know if you have any questions!

Best Sandals for Foodies Quick Take

In our opinion, all of the locations offer delicious options but the best food can be found at the newest Sandals resorts, Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals St. Vincent, and Sandals Royal Curacao, because they feature new and unique venues. We also love Sandals Grenada.

Sandals Saint Vincent & the Grenadines

We recently visited this newest of the Sandals resorts and were blown away. Not only is it beautiful, but it stands out as one of the most luxurious of all the Sandals resorts.

The food at Sandals St. Vincent is truly excellent, and among the 11 restaurants there are a bunch of new options that really elevate the dining experience for Sandals. These include a restaurant serving small bites; Buccan, which serves local cuisine family style; healthy green bowls at Imoro; and great Italian, seafood, Caribbean, and sushi restaurants. They also have a new coffee shop, Blum, which is really a cut above the usual coffee shops at Sandals.

Sandals Dunn’s River, Jamaica

Another of the newest Sandals locations, Sandals Dunn’s River has also become one of our favorites. It features 12 restaurants, 10 of which are new concepts for the brand. Cuisines include French, Italian, seafood, Asian, Mediterranean, Latin fusion, and Caribbean.

When we visited here, we felt like the food was definitely some of the best of any Sandals resort. Some of our favorite meals were at Hanami, the sushi bar; Zuka, which serves South American dishes; the Greek restaurant Edessa; and the Asian restaurant Banyu. Sandals Dunn’s River also has the really good Blum coffee shop.

Sandals Grenada

Before Sandals Dunn’s River and Sandals St. Vincent opened, this was our top Sandals resort and it’s still one of our favorites. The food at Sandals Grenada is fantastic, and you have 10 restaurants to choose from.

We loved the sushi at Soy, the Wagyu strip sirloin at Butch’s Steak House, the ossobuco at Cucina Romana, and the butter chicken at the Tipsy Turtle. There are also restaurants serving fresh seafood, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and French haute cuisine, plus a Parisian-style pastry and crepe café.

Sandals Royal Curacao

We found the food at Sandals Royal Curacao to be some of the best at any Sandals. This location has 8 restaurants plus three food trucks, which serve tapas, Curacao cuisine, and Asian food. If you’re staying at a butler suite for 7 or more nights, you can also participate in the Dine Around program, which gives you a credit to try a local restaurant. This is a unique offering for Sandals and we really enjoyed it.

Most of the restaurants here are new concepts. Beside Butch’s Chop House, which serves steaks and seafood and can be found at other locations, you have Latin fusion at Zuka, seafood at Strand, Mediterranean at Aolos, sushi at Gatsu Gatsu, Italian at Pietra, and modern European at Vincent. There’s also a wine bar serving Dutch specialties and cheeses.

Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica

The original Sandals resort, Sandals Montego Bay has been totally renovated and has 12 great restaurants (plus access to 9 more at nearby Sandals Royal Caribbean). They serve Caribbean, French, Italian, seafood, Pan-Asian, steakhouse, British, and sushi, and there’s also a café serving pastry and crepes.

Our favorite was Oleander, which serves Caribbean and has wonderful sunset views. We recommend the Jerk Lobster Kebabs, curried snapper, and Highgate Chocolate Marquise there. We also love sushi at Soy and the Asian dishes at Tokyo Jo’s.

Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados

These two resorts are located right next to each other so you can easily walk back and forth, giving you access to 21 restaurants. There are 11 restaurants at Sandals Barbados and 10 restaurants at Sandals Royal Barbados.

Two unique offerings here are a gourmet doughnut shop and a juice bar and deli offering healthy options like smoothies, Acai bowls, sandwiches, soups, and salads. (We loved both of these places!) Some of our favorite restaurants were Bombay (Indian), Chi (Asian fusion), the American Tavern, Green House (farm to table), and Soy (sushi). I had an amazing vegetarian entrée at Green House with grilled portabello mushrooms. Other choices are Caribbean, grilled specialties, seafood, Italian, steak, Mediterranean, French, British, Japanese, a snack bar at the bowling alley, and a café serving pastries and crepes.

Sandals Royal Caribbean, Jamaica

Of the 9 onsite restaurants at Sandals Royal Caribbean, our favorite was Royal Thai, which is a really beautiful option on the private island. You get there via a “dragon” boat and the food is authentic and delicious. There’s a Jerk Shack on the island as well.

We also loved our meal at Bombay House, which serves Indian food. Other cuisines available are gourmet French, Italian, British, seafood, and Caribbean. Something fun here is that they serve “high tea” in the afternoon. You also get access to the 12 restaurants at Sandals Montego Bay, which you can visit on the complimentary shuttle.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

The largest of the three Sandals resorts in St. Lucia, Sandals Grande Lucian offers 12 dining options including seafood, Caribbean, Italian, French, British, Asian, and grilled specialties. You also get access to all the restaurants at Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Regency La Toc., for a total of 27 choices.

We loved the fresh juices and delicious options at breakfast, the Caribbean choices at the Jerk Shack, the brick oven pizza, the sushi at Soy, the Japanese teppanyaki at Kimono’s, the seafood at Gordon’s on the Pier, and the Indian food at Bombay House.

Sandals Ochi, Jamaica

Sandals Ochi is the largest Sandals resort (as well as the cheapest) and has the most restaurants of any location, with 16 different dining options. You will find a huge range of cuisines, including seafood, Caribbean, Italian, Asian, American Southern, Mediterranean, French, grilled specialties, and tapas.

Some of our favorites were Southern Table, Vista Gourmet, the Jerk Shack, Tapas on the Riviera, the Mariner, Le Gourmand, Soy Sushi, Kimono’s, and Valentino’s (especially the insalata caprese and the lamp chops).
