Our pick for the best Beaches resort in Jamaica, we have really enjoyed visiting there even though we don’t have kids. It’s perfect for families as well as adults who are kids at heart!
Beaches Negril Beach
The beach at Beaches Negril is amazing. In fact, Seven Mile Beach is world-famous for its soft white sand and calm turquoise water. There’s plenty of room to wander around, plus lounge chairs and umbrellas if you want to relax. This is where you’ll find the complimentary watersports as well.
Since it faces west, you get really great sunsets here.

Beaches Negril Activities
Speaking of watersports, there are tons of free activities included in your stay at Beaches Negril. These include:

There’s also daily entertainment including live music, games, and Sesame Street character parades, as well as nightly entertainment including shows, beach parties, and more.
Kid and teen activities and amenities include Kids’ Camps for all ages with certified nannies, an Xbox play lounge, an arcade, and the Club Liquid teen disco (which turns into an adult nightclub later on).
Other onsite amenities include the huge waterpark with waterslides and a lazy river, three great pools and three whirlpools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a full-service spa (services cost extra).
Getting to Beaches Negril
Set on the western coast of Jamaica in laidback Negril, Beaches Negril is about an hour and a half from the airport in Montego Bay. Upon flying into Sangster International Airport, you head to the Beaches lounge where they will show you to your complimentary transportation to the resort. It can’t get much easier than that!

- Café de Paris for specialty coffees and pastries

- Dino’s: Neapolitan pizza for lunch and early dinner
- The Jerk Shack: Caribbean jerk for lunch and dinner
- Yoyo’s frozen yogurt
- Yaku: Peruvian for dinner (reservations required)
- Stella: Italian for dinner (reservations required), also serves a la carte breakfast
- Green Machine food truck for salads and healthy bowls
- Chick’N Dippers food truck
We loved the Peruvian restaurant, which is a unique offering. We also always love Soy Sushi Bar and the Jerk Shack.

Beaches Negril Rooms and Suites
Rooms and suites at Beaches Negril are spacious, sleek, and fresh feeling. They were all renovated or added in 2020. The largest offering is the Firesky Reserve Four-Bedroom Butler Villa, which features ocean views, a private pool, three floors, family room, dining area, full kitchen, three bathrooms, soaking tubs, and walk-in showers.
Or check out the Eventide Penthouse Four Bedroom suite, which has a private balcony and roof terrace with ocean views, 3 ½ bathrooms, and spacious living room and kitchen.
Both come with 24-hour in-room dining and personal butler service for total luxury.
There are also three-bedroom, two-bedroom, and one-bedroom suites as well as rooms like the Tropical Beachfront Concierge Family Rooms with two connecting bedrooms and bathrooms plus private balconies; Tropical Beachfront Walkout Concierge King or Double rooms with private patios and sofabeds; and Negril Luxury King or Double rooms with private balconies or patios.
You can choose from a variety of views and configurations, including garden view, ocean view, beachfront, and beachfront walkout.
