There are 17 adult-only all-inclusive Sandals resorts located throughout the Caribbean. While each one is upscale and lavish, some have a more luxurious feel than others.
We’ve visited all of them and these are our picks for the top 10 most luxurious Sandals resorts for couples.
Sandals Saint Vincent, St. Vincent & the Grenadines
The newest Sandals resort, Sandals St. Vincent features the “Sandals 2.0” approach, which takes an already amazing experience and elevates it. The resort is set on a beautiful and still pretty undiscovered island, between lush mountains and a sparkling sea.
You’ll find fantastic new restaurants serving incredible food, ultra-luxurious suites like two-story overwater villas and beachfront butler villas, a fabulous beachfront two-level infinity pool, and warm and friendly service that goes above and beyond. This is our new favorite Sandals.
Sandals Dunn’s River, Jamaica
Closely tied for our favorite Sandals, Sandals Dunn’s River is the second newest location and also features that “2.0” experience. The restaurants and bars here are really great—we loved the craft cocktails and fun vibe at the Rum Club, and the coffee shop is a big step above the usual.
It also has a beautiful setting, opulent accommodations like the first-ever Coyaba Sky Rondovals, great pools and beach, and a convenient location in Ocho Rios close to popular sites like the Blue Hole and Dunn’s River Falls.
Sandals Royal Plantation, Jamaica
The most intimate of all the Sandals resorts, Sandals Royal Plantation has just 74 suites and each one is not only oceanfront, it also comes with butler service and 24-hour inroom dining. You can’t get much more luxurious than that.
This resort has an elegant, old world vibe and unique offerings like English afternoon tea. It also offers complimentary golf at a nearby 18-hole championship course as well as access to everything at Sandals Ochi, the largest Sandals resort.
Sandals Grenada
A lushly landscaped resort set on a breathtaking white-sand beach on the gorgeous island of Grenada, Sandals Grenada is another of our favorites, especially for special occasions like honeymoons. It has a relaxed ambiance and just feels really romantic.
Luxurious suites include Skypool suites and Rondoval suites, which come with personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining. In addition to the amazing onsite amenities, you can also book offsite excursions to check out all the natural beauty and fun things to do in Grenada.
Sandals Grande St. Lucian
The largest of three Sandals resorts in stunning St. Lucia—another incredible island that we highly recommend exploring—Sandals Grande St. Lucian is perfect for couples who love swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. It’s set on a peninsula with a white-sand beach along the island’s calmest waters, making it perfect for all the watersports—even motorized options.
The famously luxurious overwater bungalows are here, giving you direct access to the crystal clear Caribbean from large private decks with oversized soaking tubs. You also can visit the other two resorts to enjoy a huge variety of restaurants and bars. Golf is also included at a championship course.
Sandals Regency La Toc, St. Lucia
Our favorite Sandals in St. Lucia, Sandals Regency La Toc has a breathtaking setting along a lush hillside overlooking a beautiful beach. It has a glamorous feel and offers wonderful sunset views. Just like at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, you have access to golf as well as everything at the other two St. Lucia Sandals resorts.
Splendid suites here are the Oceanview Bluff Millionaire Villas with private pool sanctuaries, the new 2-story oceanfront butler villas with private pools, and the Rondoval Villas with private pools—all of which come with personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining.
Sandals South Coast, Jamaica
This secluded paradise is set in a private nature preserve and features a 2-mile-long pristine beach. Sandals South Coast also has the romantic overwater bungalows, set around a heart-shaped walkway. These have recently been refreshed and feature large private decks with oversized soaking tubs and hammocks, as well as personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining.
The smaller size and remote location makes this a more intimate feeling resort, so it is quite popular for honeymoons and destination weddings. Other luxurious accommodations include beachfront one-bedroom swim-up butler suites and Rondoval swim-up butler villas with private pool sanctuaries.
Sandals Royal Barbados
You get two resorts in one at this stylish resort, which is located right next door to Sandals Barbados on an amazing beach lined with palm trees. The newer of the two properties, Sandals Royal Barbados features some unique offerings including a rooftop bar, restaurant, and infinity pool; a bowling alley; and the largest glass-fronted infinity pool in the eastern Caribbean.
This is a great resort for foodies, with 21 restaurants including some elevated options like a farm-to-table restaurant, a healthy smoothie and bowl café, and a gourmet donut shop. Accommodations are all club or butler level. Some of the swankiest include beachfront Skypool suites and Rondoval suites with private pool sanctuaries (both of which come with personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining).
Sandals Royal Bahamian
The closest Sandals to the US, Sandals Royal Bahamian is set in Nassau, giving you access to all the cultural, outdoor, and nightlife activities of the Bahamas capital. This sophisticated Sandals is on a beautiful white-sand beach with crystal clear turquoise water, and also features two more beaches plus a pool and restaurant on an exotic private island.
Recently renovated, Sandals Royal Bahamian offers luxurious accommodations like beachfront swim-up butler suites plus a variety of great pools, delicious restaurants, and complimentary watersports (snorkeling in this area is excellent).
Sandals Negril, Jamaica
This laidback resort on Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach has recently gotten some new upgrades, including incredible beachfront Skypool suites. These spacious suites offer huge private terraces with ocean views, infinity pools, and daybed swings, plus personal butler service and 24-hour inroom dining. We literally didn’t want to leave our suite!
When we did, however, we took advantage of the beautiful setting. We loved being able to eat meals with our toes in the sand and snorkel right off the beach. And the sunsets are spectacular.
