Each of the 17 Sandals resorts are beachfront, but not all beaches are created equal. While they’re all beautiful, there is actually quite a variety among them. For example, some are better for watersports, some have great snorkeling, some are more secluded, and some have bigger waves. Some are private, some are public. Each Sandals beach has its own character.

We have visited every Sandals resort and definitely have our opinions about what the best ones are, so here are our picks for the best Sandals with beaches.

Best Sandals Beaches Quick Picks:

  • Snorkeling: Sandals Grenada, Sandals Grande Antigua, Sandals Negril
  • Watersports: Sandals Grande St. Lucian, Sandals Saint Vincent, Sandals Montego Bay
  • Seclusion: Sandals South Coast
  • Service: Sandals Royal Plantation

Sandals Grande Antigua

Antigua famously has 365 beaches, and the one at Sandals Grande Antigua is one of the best. It’s a well-known stretch along Dickenson Bay with palm trees, soft white sand, and clear turquoise water, calm and ideal for swimming and watersports.

This beach is also perfect for snorkeling, thanks to offshore islands and reefs. While the beach isn’t private and does have local vendors, many guests enjoy the lively, authentic island vibe that comes with it.

Sandals Grenada

Sandals Grenada has Dan’s favorite Sandals beach. There’s a swimming area protected by a natural rock wall and featuring calm waters and vibrant marine life, making it a great spot for snorkeling.

This beach also has plenty of chairs and lovely soft white sand, and the views are stunning.

Sandals Royal Plantation, Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Sandals Royal Plantation has two small cove beaches which are peaceful and private. Since every suite here comes with personal butler service and it’s a small resort, each guests enjoys exceptional service.

Your butlers will keep you supplied with drinks, snacks, lunch and more without you ever needing to step foot off the sand. The water is calm and clear, and the atmosphere is quiet—just right for couples who want a more intimate, pampered beach experience.

Sandals Negril, Jamaica

Set on the legendary Seven Mile Beach, Sandals Negril offers a laidback classic Caribbean vibe. The turquoise water is calm and clear and the sand is powdery and white.

You can snorkel off the beach here, and the sunsets are fantastic because the resort faces west. Plus, there are beachfront bars and restaurants and many of the rooms are beachfront, so you can make the most of the setting.

Sandals Grande St. Lucian

Set on the calm and clear waters of Rodney Bay, Sandals Grande St. Lucian is a watersports paradise. It features motorized as well as nonmotorized options, including waterskiing and wakeboarding.

It’s also one of the best Sandals resorts for snorkeling and scuba diving. The beach is wide and pristine, with stunning views of the island’s lush scenery, and you can snorkel right off it. You can also stay in an overwater bungalow and snorkel from your suite!

Sandals Barbados & Sandals Royal Barbados

Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados sit side by side along Maxwell Beach, which is truly beautiful. The sand is soft and white, there are palm trees for shade, and the water is calm and clear.

This is a public beach and there are some vendors, but it is still one of our favorite beaches at Sandals. You can get a beachfront room to enjoy the view all day and night.

Sandals Saint Vincent, St. Vincent & The Grenadines

The newest Sandals resort, Sandals Saint Vincent is nestled on stunning Buccament Bay. It offers a secluded beach with soft imported white sand (the original was black sand) and crystal-clear, calm waters that are ideal for both relaxation and water sports (this resort offers motorized as well as nonmotorized options).

For an unforgettable stay, book a Beachfront Butler Villa with a Private Pool and enjoy the sound of the waves just steps from your door.

Sandals South Coast, Jamaica

Tucked away in a protected nature reserve, Sandals South Coast is perfect for couples seeking tranquility and seclusion. The resort sits on a 2-mile private stretch of untouched white sand, surrounded by lush greenery.

This is a resort where the beach takes center stage. Relax at the overwater bar, stay in an overwater bungalow, or say “I do” in a stunning overwater wedding chapel.

Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica

The long, private beach at Sandals Montego Bay features tranquil turquoise waters protected by offshore reefs. You’ll find plenty of loungers with umbrellas and even thatched-roof cabanas over the water.

There are beachfront swim-up suites, and you’ll find multiple waterfront restaurants and bars—even a bar that is set over the water, with hammocks. Just note: this resort is close to the airport, so expect some airplane noise during the day.
