Valentine’s M&M Cracker Bark For A Sweet Treat
One of my favorite things about Valentine’s Day is some of the delicious treats that are out there. Cake, ice cream, candy, you name it, I enjoy it. Today I am sharing my recipe for Valentine’s M&M Cracker bark. Kids and adults will both love it!
February can always be a cold and kind of depressing month, and what better way to combat that than with something sweet. When you combine a few ingredients, you are left with a treat that is sure to warm your heart.
If I had a choice, I would spend some of this time on a warm, tropical island with a cool drink in my hand and my love by my side. Thankfully I only have to wait a few more months to wait until I have my toes in the sand and feel the warm ocean breeze.
Frequently Asked Questions About Recipe Preparation:
I don’t have a double boiler, can I still melt the chocolate?
Absolutely! I don’t have a double boiler, so I use the microwave to melt mine for this recipe.
How long does it take to melt candy in a microwave?
Place the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and cook 1 minute on 50% heat. Remove and stir and cook for another 30 seconds. Stir again and cook for another 30 seconds on 50% power. Repeat for a few more cycles until smooth.
Can I use food coloring if they don’t have the candy in the right colors?
If you don’t have access to candy melts and need to use regular chocolate, you can add a few drops of food coloring. I honestly don’t think you should. You could thin out the chocolate too much where it won’t set or harden properly.
Is it better to use chocolate or candy melts?
I like using the candy melts because it gives you vibrant colors without changing the consistency of the candy. However, this recipe is so simple that you just need to use white chocolate.
