Happy Sunday! It is always a good Sunday when the sun is out, even if the weather is chilly. I am so ready for Spring, even if it means allergies and bugs and cutting grass. I am ready for longer nights and open windows and everything else that Spring entails.
Right now, however, I am stuck inside. By myself. Why you ask? After two years of being careful, of being vaccinated and boosted, Miss Rona finally won. I tested positive yesterday after having a mild cough & sore throat.
All of my coworkers have gotten it since Thanksgiving, so I guess it was inevitable for me to get it. And the only reason I know is because I was feeling crappy on Friday, and I wanted to make sure before I went in to work on Saturday. I was actually pretty shocked that it came up positive.
All my symptoms were similar to when I have allergies, so I didn’t think much of it. Glad I did because I didn’t want to pass it on to someone else. Right now, the cough is my biggest annoyance. I am tired and a bit achy. I will say that when I had the flu in 2018, it was much worse.
I attribute it to being vaccinated. Whatever your beliefs are, whether or not you believe in it, all I know is that it worked for me. It has probably kept me from being worse. Well, enough about that.
We are really looking forward to our upcoming trip to Antigua. There is nothing like sand, and sea, and the best adult beverages available.
I always love traveling to a new island, especially when it means I get to spend time alone with my husband. Life is so crazy, we need this time alone. We really enjoy our time at Sandals Resorts, and always countdown to our next trip.
So that is my day today. Rest and Netflix and napping too!
